As part of this to further enhance the customers experience, we are excited to offer API integration for SAP Intelligent Trade Claims Management. This functionality enables more seamless integration of benefits data across the SAP Intelligent Trade Claims Management.
What is SAP Intelligent Trade Claims Management?
As you might have already read in one of our other blog posts, SAP Intelligent Trade Claims Management (or “ITCM”) supports the resolution of trade-related deductions. Process trade related claims and reinforce with supporting information, use machine learning to learn from past actions, and get smart recommendations for promotion matching. SAP API Business Hub — New Offering
While traditional middleware-based integration can offer data transfer capabilities, it often requires significant investment and maintenance responsibilities. The new API (Application Programming Interface) integration is a cost effective and efficient approach and no longer requires customers to build their own integration. Instead, preconfigured templates are hosted in the SAP API Business Hub and can be imported using a one-click approach. There is no up-front development cost and maintenance is handled with point-to-point integration for greater performance and peace of mind. However, the benefits of API integration extend far beyond cost-savings.
Now, with an API integration, data can be transferred in near real-time between Benefitfocus and SAP ITCM. This increases the efficiency of entire setup time whenever data is needed from the source systems by enabling data to move between systems in minutes rather than weeks and decreases the effort needed by the admins to configure data . The data exchange is fully automated and hard coded to conform to preset API standards, ensuring security and stability.

SAP ITCM — APIs available on SAP API Business Hub
Most commonly used/dependent domain models for the SAP ITCM are Customers, Product, Promotions, Hierarchy and so on. All of these APIs are available and ready to consume. Before the actual real time integration, one can familiarise themselves by exploring the SandBox or Try Out mechanisms which are available as the part of SAP API Business Hub
You have two different ways to test APIs directly in the API Business Hub. Either you use the API Sandbox or you configure an API environment for your tenant account. For both options you need to be logged on with your SAP Community User. I will cover these in the upcoming blogs.
